Local people identify the need, shape the response and lead delivery. We support — we don't impose.
DKB Foundation is a Ugandan non-profit built on relationships — with the children, mothers and young people of Kampala and Lyantonde, and with everyone who believes their future is worth investing in.
“What do you actually need?” That single question — asked in homes, on verandas and under mango trees — is where DKB Foundation began. The answers were rarely complicated: a child's school fees, a clinic within walking distance, a chance to earn an honest living.
So we started small and stayed honest. Today we work across two communities we know intimately, pairing the urgency of immediate help with the patience of long-term change. We measure success not by how much we hand out, but by how little a family eventually needs us.
To unlock the potential of vulnerable children, women and youth through education, health and economic opportunity.
Resilient Ugandan communities where no one is left behind because of where they were born or what they lack.
Dignity first. Everyone we serve is a neighbour with a name, a story and something to offer — never a statistic.
Local people identify the need, shape the response and lead delivery. We support — we don't impose.
Clear records, open reporting and honest numbers. Donors see exactly where their gift goes.
We work with schools, clinics, churches, local leaders and other NGOs to scale what already works.
Our goal is for families to outgrow our help — leaving behind capability, confidence and dignity.
“I grew up knowing what it means to go without. DKB Foundation is my promise that no child in our communities has to face that alone.”[ Founder & Director ]DKB Foundation Uganda
